MEET JADE

Actress & Singer-Songwriter JADE is not only an artist, she is the navigator of her starship, surrounding herself with ace collaborative creators at every rung of her TS2 Enterprises company – in front of and behind the scenes – including a record label and her own publishing. Savvy, multi-faceted, straight-shooting, lovely to look at and bullish about her business, JADE is a caliber of newcomer that only comes once in an era. You are now entering Generation JADE.

Paradise Valley, Arizona-native JADE has studied and performed music, theater and dance since early childhood. “I was very clear about what I wanted to do,” she shares. “When I was 8, I saw a friend perform in a play. I was captivated… My parents saw it in me right away, supported my vision and were justified when they saw everyone else around us taking notice of me too. I started auditioning for local plays as I began dance classes, vocal lessons, plus theatrical songs and classical studies - privately at home through community college.”

In high school, JADE sang the lead role in a production of the opera Aida. Moving to Los Angeles, she attended USC during which time she played many other roles, including Sheila Franklin in Hair, Grushinskaya in Grand Hotel, and Hester La Negrita in In the BloodJADE graduated at the top of her class as a James & Nony Doolittle Awardee which is awarded to the Top 2 acting students in their senior year. She was up for Broadway shows toward the end of her studying at USC and upon graduation. She didn’t always get the roles…but the experiences toughened JADE, fueling her to realize that, ultimately, she wanted more control over her artistic destiny. She zeroed in on singing and songwriting as focal points.

“I have been writing since I was 12…always writing poems and songs in my bedroom,” she reflects. “I asked my parents for a keyboard but I didn’t touch it at first. Then my passion for it organically grew into a true passion. I started turning down theatre roles to do my own music. Once I studied the publishing industry, I learned that I could set my own stage and that became more important. If I could become a popular world artist, I could write my own musical play.”

For the music of her EP, ContactJADE made a conscious decision to introduce herself to the masses utilizing the soft floaty tones of her range over hefty beats and R&B/Pop instrumentation with cool semi-detached harmonies and supporting melodies. “I like pretty,” she says simply, “with everything perfectly balanced and tightly contained.”

JADE has performed on the same stages as acts such as Jordin Sparks, Rahsaan Patterson, and Ludacris. You may have heard her sing the National Anthem or perform at Halftime at the Suns, Mercury, Diamondbacks, Clippers and Lakers games.

JADE: A budding Pop Icon bridging the gaps between young and old, Black and White, and any other divisive lines that hinder the true purpose of music on Earth: to unite the world.
